The first charity to be supported under our new Matched giving scheme is ‘Children’s Hospice
South West’ nominated by Millie Holmes and Irene Clark. Over 1000 children in the South West
suffer from illnesses that mean they will not live to adulthood. The Children’s Hospice at Little
Harbour, St Austell, provides care for many of these children and cares not only for the sick
child but for the whole family. It also supports the family for as long as they need help.
During April and may the ‘Retiring’ collection (collected on the plate at the rear of the church)
will support this charity and at the end of the period the PCC will match the donations to a
maximum of £250.
